collaborating with numerous bands
around New England, New York City, and Ireland
to bring the fiddle into
folk, funk, and everything in between.
Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki has been fiddlin' around for 17 years, performing solo and collaborating with numerous bands around the Northeastern USA and Ireland. Known for taking the fiddle into genres where it's rarely seen, Jordan nonetheless grew up on traditional Celtic music and therefore good ol' jigs and reels will always have a special place in his heart and in his performances. His latest album, Into the Cold, is comprised of original songs deeply rooted in the Celtic tradition but made unique by funk and jam influences and supported on many tracks by a full rock band.
Jordan was one of the founding members of JamAntics ("Best Jam Band" NH Magazine, 2010, "Best Original Band" The Hippo, 2011) and currently plays most frequently with the Dusty Gray Band(DustyGray.com) and the Tom Lanigan Band (Tomlanigan.com) in addition to his own trio. With these groups, he has opened for Irish music legends Tommy Makem and Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfetones, country superstars such as Willie Nelson, Joe Nichols and Uncle Kracker, and classic rockers Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Little Feat. He has toured nationally with the Adam Ezra Group (winner of five New England Music Awards including "Band of The Year") and appeared as a guest musician with other nationally touring bands including Yarn, The Spring Standards, The Lost Trailers, Roots of Creation and Hot Day At The Zoo. He is a member of the house band at Rocking Horse Studio ("Best Recording Studio", NH Magazine, 2012) and can be heard on dozens of recordings including projects with Garth Hudson of The Band. Highlight gigs have included several NH governor's inaugural receptions, Irish pubs from Clare to Donegal, The Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, and the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C., as well as hundreds of appearances at barn dances, rock concerts, farmer’s markets, folk festivals, weddings, private parties, and anywhere else people want to kick back and have a good time.
